What are your predictions for tomorrow in Perth?
Will it be a series of squalls coming in wave after wave?
Will it be a minimum of 25 knots gusting to 50?
Will it be a fizzer?

I have some advice for tomorrow;
1. Get a long way away from the beach
2. Pull in the bar as far as it goes
3. Pull on one side as hard as you can
4. Brace for severe Impact!

Here's a good idea, wait til the sun comes out, it's warm, with consistent seabreezes, and it's safe!

It looks exciting now but it's normally not so appealing on the day when it's persisting down with rain.

Northerlies are always unpredictable but my guess is a bit of a fizzer.

Windy but wet, gusty and messy.

I think I consider my wife and two kids these days over kiting in frontal wind, and not being a selfish turd!

You should, WAs the reason you continue to have food and shelter. Queensland though, well at least you'd be able to bang up some tin shacks and eat potatoes If we weren't around. Shouldn't be to hard, someone gotta feed those parastiic zombie urbanised good for nothing Eastern staters. Canberra the worst of the lot. Produce something will ya! Except property speculation maybe. Give it a try, you might just learn to contribute something one day.

I'm with Tightlines wise words of wisdom on this one

I'll be waiting to see how it pans out???

Graphs look great when you see a line of consistent Green arrows, conditions on the beach and out to sea tend to be a bit different.

At the very least it's got some of us frothing and if the planets align we could be in for a blast :D

With good prep, sound knowledge of frontal weather patterns and research of the conditions on the day awesome kiting can be had in these conditions with relative safety if you have built the skill to do so.

Just because these days maybe outside your comfort zone or skill level, it doesn't mean everyone who does go out is being a "selfish turd". It just means they are operating at a different level and different risk assement than you.

definitely keen for some reverse downwinders this year i tried last year but it was a bit light at the time.

As the fronts move in they hit as a nw to start and then swing round to sw if you were really sure of the conditions you could do a 2 way downwinder now that would be epic

(probably need some ground support or maybe tuck a couple coldys down your wetty in case you need to wait a while for the wind to change)

Im going to try my 7 m neo on 19 m lines to handle the big gusts with better control ,but have the nugget there for getting me through the lulls .I hope that set up works well.It could be a bit of a rough ride ,but Ive had the nugget in nuking winds before and with a defensive kiting strategy it works ok.

Im looking forward to lining up some big ramps and monster punts!.

If it goes onshore westerly its easy to tack upwind to city beach and down wind back to trigg!

Its likely its going to be a solid N.wester though so got the new winter downwinder bike set up with surfboard rack. A triple trigg to city beach downwinder on the cards!

Its straight out kite porn!!!!!

Pretty good winds in busso all day today.
Only got a short lunch sesh in but still fun

I think tomorrow will be a bit erratic, and up and down, but good riding to those who go. I'll suss Sunday in the metro when the bulk of the rain is through I think.

I love the WA contribution to general topics.

if you can't be bothered labelling your topic properly, then put it in you WA section so you don't get >500 reads in 10 hours?!

happy to take red thumbs... But my reply is second for the folk who want "General" and not "WA"

Yeah sorry mate, I know we should be talking about s**t lofty says and soccer or lightning trackers, its ridiculous that guys would talking kiting and share there stoke of an up coming session.

All jokes aside give us a break, it is winter and we are all a bit wind starved, you cant blame people for wanting to share.

Peace out!
