Hi,

I will be heading down to South Australia next week for work. The graphs don't look that promising should I bother bringing my kite this time of year or would I be better off with just a surf board? I will be in Whyalla all week but back in Adelaide for the long weekend. Any general advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Pete.

You will definitely need your kiteing gear in whyalla, and there is a good chance of some seabreezes in adelaide so take your gear.

What are you doing in Whyalla and who are you working with?
Might cross paths if we are lucky.
Bring your kite, the wind is jus starting to kick in.

Yeah whyalla has a sandy bottom... Awesome place to ride. I cannot promise anything but I wouldn't bring massive kites, we usually ride small kites more than mid. More often than not it cranks well over 20knots...

Everyone either has a 13-12 as there big kite and a 9-8 for there small kite. Over the course of the comp the wind can be variable so it would pay to bring what ever you have.

I just use the BOM or Bigpond weather from my phone (add a couple of knots as the measurements are taken from slightly in-land at the airport).
