The result is the kite flies as if the line is shorter and the kite flies left no matter what the travelling aspect.
This kite might be a side-flyer. ^^^
By this I mean, all the rigging is perfect but the kite has been constructed incorrectly.
If the leading-edge seam has been sewn assymetrically onto the body, the kite will fly relentlessly to one-side.
This fault is impossible to see with the eye, you can only feel it when flying.
Even when the (deflated) kite is laid-out flat on a table, the flaw is well hidden.
The shop-guys know of this problem but rarely discuss it.
It's more common than you'd think.
It's the INDUSTRY's dirty little secret.
To check for side-flying:
In moderate, consistent wind.....
Park the kite steady at 12 o'clock, then gently release the bar.
If the kite stubbornly flies to one-side after numerous attempts......
go to step 2.
Step 2:
Replace all the rigging with new string and repeat step 1.
lol.
