Hey there team,

I'm chasing your thoughts on adjusting the bar position on SS Rev 2's.

I've just got a new Rev 2 11m and the bar is to close to my body for my liking, is there any other way to move the bar out some besides shortening the back lines or lengtheing the front lines?

I'm just concerned that doing this will alter the flying of the kite.

Power the kite up more by lengthening the middle lines/ shortening the side lines then the bar wont need to be pulled in so much, btw there is no solution that won't alter the kites performance slightly (power wise) except for some sort of harness hook extension lol or a larger chicken loop (not chicken sheet).

If your problem is you find you have to keep the bar in all the way to stay powered and you prefer it further out then I suggest you power up your kite by depower strap and/or changing the line lengths as mentioned.

If your problem is you like having the bar most of the way in but due to the chicken loop size this is too close to you then if it really is bugging you change your chicken loop to make it bigger.

ok so my thoughts were correct, I'll get onto that next time we get some wind over this way. as for the harness extension I'll take care of that next time I'm in Thailand lol.

you could shorten the back lines on the knots. but this would power the kite up and i found they fly better with a little depower. you could get another active stopper ball and put this under the bar and set it so you can only pull it in so far but can easily move around if you like. or if you dont use your current active stopper ball because you fly with your bar out so far then take it apart and put that below your bar and then you could power your kite up on the knots too so that the sweet spot is further away. you will loose a little depower but as you will have less throw but you can aways pull the depower strap in if it picks up.

What Spacemonkey says-they fugged up when they shipped the REV2s-I had to extend my front lines about 10-12cm (by adding small pigtails/extenders) to get the line setup right-try that.

Yeah thats what I seen with a dude at my local. Flew crap out of the bag. Way under powered. Gave him the ****s and took months of messing around tryin to figure if it was him and the windrange or the kite.

The Revs have a major problem with twisting bridles. Some people get anal about line lengths but the bridles can shrink enough over two big sessions to make the kite fly with an uneven bar
