Dude that was at least 200m, it's easy to do with proper technique give it a few months and you too will be swinging the kite stationary and get launched soo high, be careful to avoid air traffic though

Thermals. They exist in really shallow water. U can even feel it if u get some slow colder wind in the afternoon during a rly hot day.
