" which bloody camera should i get ? "

The choice is huge!

I compare the various types of cameras out there and talk about their strengths and weaknesses. I will also share a few of my favourite shots and techniques to get those shots on these various cameras.

Nice vid.

Sure pictures and motion pictures are an art but your vid reminded me to not get sucked into this digital gadget record the personal moment craze.

Too many depreciable assets to cart around or gather dust in the shed or produce output that can chain you to the life sucking computer.

Isnt it about Carpe Diem, not capture the day and then spend precious time editing it.

I am happy to look back thru a few old school photo albums or a few boxes of slides. That is enough for one persons life. Not thousands of digital MB's of ****.

Video is useful for coaching purposes but after a wicked session who wants to slice and dice it to music and relive it? Stuff that, change the source of stoke and look forward to the next one.

Leave all the latest digital **** on the shelf at Harvey Morons.

^^^ For Matt @ reflex I don't think his obsession is an overnight craze, he has been dabbling in this photographic art form for a very long time, and it looks like its become a passion and an important income stream for him.
Life includes everything, including technology, enjoy it while it lasts, or not, each to their own!!

life can be what happens when you are planning for the future.

Its all about balance -remember you cant ride all day long- so its possible to wave the camera around a bit. And photos can be a quick and easy creative outlet.

and if you shoot your mates- they will be stoked

Photography and videography make you see the world in a different light - and before you know it you are appreciating sunsets, cocktail hour (magic hour) light , textures and details in nature etc etc more than you normally would

its the concepts and the ideas that are exciting - the cameras / computers are just the tools to get it done. well they are pretty interesting too..

but - just like beer and wine - best enjoyed in moderation !

Whilst I might not want to watch films of other people kite surfing on youtube (and generally I don't), if they get / share the stoke by putting these clips together then I say go for it.

Even if your riding isn't up to the same standards as Ruben or Aaron, your style of riding isn't what I am in to, or your choice of noise music isn't to my tastes.
