Just came back from 2 wks Rarotonga - crystal clear waters got 4 days nice consistent wind - bit of a slalom course amongst the coral bombies but worth every minute of it - great friendly kiter locals at muri lagoon - chose to kite just sth of lagoon as islands in the lagoon made it a bit gusty there - snorkelling on non windy days unbelievable amount of different tropical fish species but lung dive over a ship wreck worth doing - used 10mtr kite for the 4 days - can kite any where - we stayed on sth side of island and kited just up the road - great place - friendly locals. Bit of a plane ride from WA though - would be there next weekend if it was closer. If you can pay another NZ$480 Aitutaki (flights and 2 nights accommodation from Rarotonga) is the Island to go for free style kiting - international comp. there in Sept. crystal clear waters and no coral bombies just crystal clear lagoon over sand.
