Hi All,

Still new to the sport and thinking of consolidating my quiver.

I currently have a 12m 2013 Switchblade and a 9m 2013 Rebel. I think I have decided to stay with the North Kites. The question is do I swap my 12m Cabrinha for a 12m Rebel or go the 13m? I read one of the reviews and it suggested going up a size in the Rebel range. Thoughts?

Hmm - let me see ? Oh back to the old questions of normal kitesurfing location and typical wind strength and your weight and the sort of board you ride ? If you are a real Balmain boy and the typical Sydney summer seabreezes then a 13 might not be big enough? Personally, the more kites you have, the higher in the social status you live so why not have a 12, 13 and maybe a 17M ? to compliment a 9, 7 and a 5??

I'm with Lambie on this one... This is me
Size: 88kg
TT Board: North Jaime 136 x 41
Surf Board 1: 5ft 8in Underground Kipuna
Surf Board 2: 5ft 8in Firewire Dominator - Light wind board
Kites: 17 Meter Zephyr, 10 Meter Rebel, 7 Meter Rebel

I would like to maybe get some more wave specific kites in the future but Rebels are sweet and the Zephyr is the best bit of secondhand kit I have bought. I probally might go a 17 Meter Dyno, 12 Meter Rebel, 9 Meter Neo, & 7 Meter Neo thats in the future way in the future.

With the combo I have I just change my board when it gets windier and when it gets scary change my kite down.

Balmain Boy 12 Metre Rebel is a great choice and considering that the 2014 product is coming out NEW 2013 gear will be cheap.... 12m, 9m combo is sweet....
