G'day guys, im thinking its about time I opened up my pump and gave it a good service. What is the best lubricant to use and any tips and tricks would be appreciated.

Cheers

A new clean pump worked for me in the end as rubbers were a little worn.

Silicon grease seems to do the trick pretty well.

Remember to get it recharged and serviced regularly and if you want absolute piece of mind with your electric kite pump don't forget to get BAC(Beachside Assistance) for those colder days when it won't start.

Using graphite powder is probably not a good idea - most kite pumps have an aluminium shaft that will corrode if u stick graphite in there, and eventually snap.

Shafts, lube, and silicon calm yourselves!

Yeah silicon lubricant sounds best as it is plastic/rubber and judging by when I opened up my pump that seems to be what they used originally.
