Can someone recommend reasonably priced polarised sunnies for kiting?.. ive had oakley before but now looking for something cheaper but worthy.

Have a look at the work safety glasses range in Bunnings...good quality and cheap compared to Oakleys .

Some people think that you should go for normal sunnies. Polarisation is great to block the glare AND allow you to see under the waters surface. That's why they are so popular with fishermen. When you are kiting, you want to see the surface of the water so you don't need polarisation. Had both and use non polarised now.

Exactly what I was going to say. Ditto my view -- non-polarised are the best. I'm still using my 2003 Oakley Water Jackets. Best watersports sunnies ever. Don't know why Oakley stopped making them --the only water sunnies I've ever found that don't have any metal on them so there's nothing to rust. Only downside is that you have to store them in a box because they don't fold. The lip sunglasses are absolute quality . I have had my same pair going on 7 years . The hinges are plastic but I have never broken one , I dare say lip would honour any breakage anyway. I had an issue with a screw rusting and they sent out replacement frames free of charge , super quick with no hassle.

mates of mine run the cheap ones , they work but they have gone through a few pairs through breakage and lenses scratching right up . The old saying , buy cheap buy twice

OP asked for reasonably priced. I buy mine from Aliexpress. Avoid sub $5 range but the $5 to $12 range is good, same as the servo sunnies you'll pay $40 for here. They often come with a zip case and a little polarisation tester with the hidden picture. I normally buy 3-5 at a time.

I bought a pair of lips a few years ago, that I lost, and now they are more than double the price, it's 4-5 times the price of a seaspec pair

$320 divide 7 years . Is around $45 a year, and will only get cheaper if you look after your gear. Each to their own , I prefer quality over quantity

Exactly what @Nathe wrote above - cheap is more expensive at the end. I have been using LiP since 2019, there is no comparison with cheapo glasses I was using prior(e.g. Ocean) - the lenses optical properties are better, the hydrophobic coating is in another league, the contrast boost is better, the retention system is bullet proof. A pair of LiPs can last a decade with hundred sessions per year. So why even bother with something else if you ride regularly?!
