Since December 1 the parking at the most popular kitesurfing spot in Sydney at Botany Bay has been slapped by the council with a limit of 3h parking all week (when it's only busy on a couple of hot sunny weekends).

Many of us (including Kiteboarding Australia) have emailed and phoned the council to have a discussion, they have not responded back to anyone.

They cannot ignore us if we can manage to get lots of of signatures.

Appreciate if you can help our cause.
Thanks !

Councils act on complaints and suggestions don't they ?...If this is the main carpark for kiting at botany then possibly general public have complained (dog walkers have alot of power) about kiters hogging carpark ? Alternatively , beach carparks in Sydney are never big enough to suit demand of the masses wanting to go there. So whats the solution ?

The only times the car parks there are full is on weekends in summer when the beaches and picnic spots are full of families, and they don't p1ss off until they start getting sand blasted at > 30 knots
Personally I rarely need more than 3 hours for a session, but I can see how the kite schools would be disadvantaged by this. Therefore I signed.
