I use the Pivot on a Wainman bar works fine.
Wainman bar is similar to a ozone bar i think.

cant justify the price for the new bar ay.... I see where your coming from.

I love my bar and when you get use to a bar that works why not stick to it i think.

I have a 12m Pivot with an Ozone bar and works fine.

Do not self rescue with a Naish bar, better let the "cheap" kite go ;)

Yes the Pivot will work 100% fine on the Ozone bar, but why not get a better kite and get a Reo from one of the WA Ozone dealers, full listing here http://ozonekites.com.au/sub-agents/

Stop playing with it then. I use the trim less than once a session, on average. Your wind that crappy, or is it your technique?

You're dreaming - Pivot is a much better kite, Steve.

Don't use one, ( but was given a demo when released ) and observation from what I've seen, honestly never had a kite session and thought how much better it could of been with nice comfy grip, soft bar ends, Don't use ozone bars either, but I'd bet you a few hundred dollars the ozone would outlast the naish, you carnt comment on longevity on a new product, the kites a nice kite, but not for me, too lame in its power delivery, also wise to how you'd know it's a better kite than the reo in the waves?

What do you mean by lame in the power delivery I have found nothing lame about the power of the pivot.

I have a 7m pivot and fly it with the RRD V4 bar. I weigh about 85kg and have been exclusively using a North Nugget (29litre board) for the past few weeks. When everyone else was out on a 12m kites in 18-20 knots I found I was nicely powered. The combo just trucks upwind. Thinks start getting a bit sketchy around the 35kt mark.

Found the pivot is perfect for surfing, not so great for freestyle.

Basicaly, the Reo is a fast but gutless kite, great for little men, on surfboards but useless for anything else. A good beginners kite.

If you've not had the pleasure of a light, smoothly textured and comfortable bar, and can't imagine how it would be nicer, then you're missing nothing.
A solid lump of steel will outlast the Ozone - will that make it a better bar?

Naish bar
-not colour coded right
-no ability to untwist lines.
-below bar depower some like it, others not
-no PU coating on main lines so wear out much faster
-no saftey distance for push away, if bar gets tangled can lock bar on top of chicken loop unable to release.
-no 2nd gen suicide system that can be ejected like Ozone, Airush, Slingshot, liquid force etc etc.
- no stopper ball on flag out line (that I know of) so bar goes all the way to the kite if you eject.

Weigh 90kg use a 9 Reo in 15 knots with a surfboard, when others are on 12s and surfboards, Reo is a grunty kite! When did you last try one?

I hate the hard bar ends, with those hooks - that grab lines more often than I can't push away the QR - and I hate that thing that holds the front line safety.

I'm indifferent about yellow. Mm memory foam...

Last used a Reo in October, last year... same day I got on 10m Switchblade, Pivot, Bandit, and Park. Zoom! Zoom! Flappity-flappit-flappity... sheet in and - no grunt.

-What are these disadvantages you mention, Its a major selling point having a coated main line.

Says who? (Sailing industry is red/green, you know...) And what does it matter? I've swapped between bunches of brands and the ones that are easiest to cope with are the ones with the greatest contrast between left and right (or back and front), not ones with mostly black and fashionably small splashes of color.

Never really bothered me, unless the swivel is new and stiff. I like BTB swivel but it's not vital. Rotate or loop both directions....?

Disadvantages? Can't see what is happening under the PU, more expensive to replace and needs a custom part, the bar "sticks" while sheeting if the bar is being turned, single rope taking the load. If you ARE going to promote PU system as a sales point, better to have both depower rope AND safety line in there... saves the bar wearing on it. Cab got it right.

Naish don't need to. If you're leashed to the safety line, and let go, the kite goes to full safety as if you pulled the QR. If you're hooked into the end of the trim rope, and let go, it'll go to full depower. No ring needed... same as SS, IIRC.

All single fronts are a PITA to reset. You can add one if it really bugs you...

BTW, Bandit is another kite I can't understand how anyone likes. As weak as the Reo.
