Im possibly moving to Perth and was wondering if I could get some feedback as to good spots to rent. Im looking for a spot close to a kite beach, close to central perth (1/2 hour drive), the place has a good vibe and the rent isnt too much.... Im currently living in st kilda, melbourne and was looking for a similar place in peth. Basically a eutopia in perth. Any help or knowledge of possible rental properties would be great.

Everywhere is within 1/2 hour of Perth, Perth isn't like Melbourne . You've probably just described Fremantle. Full of freaks, junkies, theives, gays and weirdos, just like St Kilda. It also happens to have great cafe's and restaurants, good bars and a half decent night time scene, in general an interseting place to hang out.

Rent is expensive all over Perth. Rental is crazy, do interviews with 20 other couples to allow the landlords decide who to pick to allow in their pad, good luck! Bring good references.

Kiting is good though ....... well, in summer anyways. Freo is central to three of the major kiting hubs around Perth; Woodmans Point, Melville waters (river) and Leighton.
