Hy there,
Let's start a new thread where all and each one of us may tell astory about one of there performance in Kitesurfing.
I have one, of which I am proud and I would like to share with you:
My Upwind adventure:
On 9 of March 2006, I was on Kitebeach (Middle Brighton Beach in Melbourne), around 6.00 PM.
The wind was 25 27 K, purely Southerly, pretty gusty, although fantastic power.
I was using my 12 m Crossbow, and my regular 165 cm Stonker “Climax” Board.
Here is my track recorded by my GPS on my “upwind adventure”.
www.seabreeze.com.au/gallery/gallery.asp?imageid=1463The upwind was 6 tacks, and took aprox 20 minuteto reach Rickets Point (almost 1 Km upwind), whilst the downwind was “explosive” in three tacks and a spectacular FALL due to a massive wave in which I deep my board).
Not too much speed, as the waves were massive, as such that whilst in a deep, I could not see around anything else but green mountains of water!!
Anyway, I was impressed with the Crossbow performance. Actually the kite was pulling me upwind.
