Hey people,

does anyone have a spare or older metal part that slots into the push away safety as mine has corroded and my bar is ok. Obviously would pay for it. If anyone can help just pm me would be much appreciated.

This isn't a spare sold by ozone. You can buy the chicken loop repair kit but not this part. You are basically going be chasing someone with a second hand one/old bar spares or alternative upgrade to new click in system as this is compatible but also gets pricey.

Yeh I've already repaired one bar with the kit, but when I went to do the other with the kit I noticed it had broken that small part, so yeh I'm after a favour I suppose if someone has an older bar.

I had the same issue... Ozone no longer supply replacement chicken loop for that style. Upgrading the whole assembly is the only option from Ozone which is a bit weak. I moved onto an Ikon bar which is a ripper.

I would double check with your local Ozone dealer on the availability of that part.

Cheers, I'm in that process at the moment. It's a shame because the bar and lines in great condition, it's just the part that's broken. If ozone don't do that part alone still, not good.

Ste, from my understanding the replacement chickenloop is still being offered for the Megatron, but best to contact your local Ozone rep to be sure. Ozone does offer an upgrade kit as well so you can convert your Megatron bar to the V4 bar. This is a great option if your Megatron bar and lines are still in good shape. The upgrade kit has the entire new chicken and quick release system which is a very nice and easy upgrade.

Glad you got it sorted. Action Sports possibly has some old chicken loops, I do have a couple even the one attached to my fence for checking out harnesses has that bit intact.
Ozone decided to not go ahead and order 5000 or each of the 2 parts which was the minimum requirement from the manufacturer, and apart from the expense of ordering and holding these parts which are not that popular, there was another issue. This was to do with kiters having a lot of difficulty reloading their Megatron and I'd say well of 50% of the people I see still using them are incorrectly loaded. Its safe when loaded wrong but its ugly and awkward for the user so Ozone dropped it and as usual all the parts they make are backwards compatible. The V4 Click In loop Upgrade Kit is good value as it upgrades not just the chicken loop, but the entire trim system. You get new V4 Click in loop, main line pre fitted, trim line, flag out line, new swivel, and swivel cone. Rec Ret $239
