Hi all.
After a few years off the water, we were sorting out all the kit, and decided to retire a bunch of old kites.
I plan to upcycle the kites, but has anyone got ideas for reuse/recycling/upcycling bars and lines?
We have 2 sets of North 5 line bars and lines which are NOT fit for use, and 1 set Zeeko and 1 set Eclipse 4 line which are probably ok but best not for newbies just in case.

I used to repurpose old lines in good condition for use in the kite school, but I have way too many sets to need any more. Plus once you start using modern high-end stiffer lines you don't want to go back. Not really sure what else you could do, but I do know that if you offer those bars for free on Gumtree and/or Marketplace, please will eventually collect them.

I use my old kite lines in the camping kit - perfect for washing lines or anything else needed around the campsite - even tarp to peg lines !!

plus 1 for this. Lightweight, superstrong.
I use old bits of kite line all the time for all sorts of things - I'm a sailor as well, and super-handy for lashing things, or even as a narrow bore line for running through spars to pull halyards through. If you have any sailor friends, they will love it
