Hey, Heading over to Kiwi land for work later this month and thinking of taking the gear… anyone kited there this time of year? Just read that Lake Clearwater freezes over during winter.. maybe i won't try there and stick to lake Ellesmere and Sumner.
no no and no. Too cold and our summer wind is thermal generated so no good wind in May, we do get southerlys but they tend to have snow or hail invloved. Ellesmere is too polluted now and you cannot kite there. Snow kiting might be on thou?
