I have been booked on a holiday to Noumea next week. Staying in town, but have a hire car booked. I would like to get a kite session in, but don't want to take gear. Anyone have any recommendations or experience on the best options? Any feedback is appreciated.

The best option is ALWAYS take ur own gear....u will struggle anywhere to hire gear, unless u find a kite school and grab a lesson??

With the right baggage, u can fit 1 x kite, twin tip and all ur gear plus clothes....I use a golf style bag to get everything in and pay for up to 30kg when u book the flight (way cheaper to do it then).

Good luck and good winds!!

I went over a month ago and had a great session out on the reef. I chartered a wing/sup/kite pro's boat for a day(Clement Colmas) his boat is under @imagine_noumea on insta. Thats if you want to ride waves, If you just just want flat water there is plenty of spots. Allot of guys off the point at the Le Meridien Noumea. Yes take your own gear though. Get out on the reef if you can, if there is no wind the surf is great. Left hander, allot like Namotu Lefts. Full days trip though. There is some pics and vids on my instagram pages - @whereyawannabe or @live.wild.au

Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely take my own gear next time. It was windy everyday and only a five minute walk the the spit at the LeMeridian. (We stayed at the hotel next door.) so many kites and wing toilers out on the weekend, unbelievable, perfect lagoon for flat water.
A trip out to the reef, can come later, sounds epic.
