Heading to Norfolk in June. Did a search but the thread was years old. Anyone kited there? Looks like Amy Beach could be a launch spot in a SW and June/July look decent for it. Any experiences or thoughts welcome. Don't suggest Lord Howe, will be golfing on Norfolk also.

I have been there a number of times and checked out all the possible kiting spots.

In short, the island is surrounded by cliffs with one or two small beaches to kite off that have lots of shallow rocks or large waves a bit further out. I didn't find any safe kitesurfing spots, the images you see of the beaches make them look a lot larger than they are.

I enjoyed my many stays at NorfolK and the people are great, but I would not say it is a safe place to kite unless you get perfect weather.

I hope you have a fab time over there.

Thanks KD, much appreciated. Golf and snorkeling I guess it is.

Great sport fishing there if you're into it.
