Seen some vague pictures on the new ride engine harness for coming season.

Any improvements worth mentioning? I am interested in this or a similar harness. Still really like the concept but feedback re 2 issues held me back from buying last years model.

1. Fine for waves but when used for big air / loops it slips so you have to retighten frequently?
2. Mixed reports on durability

Would be good to see if any improvements are done to address this.

Also would be interesting to see if Ion, Mystic etc come out with a similar concept.

Spill the beans!

There are similar products out there. None however actually support your back the way a ride engine shell does. Most others use a plan square shell that is not contoured to your back. You have to ride to to feel it. Or not feel it as most people say after a session..

For 2017 the strap has been shifted to a thicker material which eliminates slippage.

The durability issues have always been with the early hand made models.

Thanks mate!

With the slippage solved this looks like a winner. When Available?

Cheers!

^^ Are you able to refit my 2016 harness with the 2017 strap to stop my slippage problems?

Best way to just double back on the strap . Stops it slipping and is still quite easy to get in and out . Just make sure you thread it through before tightening all the way.

Thanks, tried that and it slows the release of the strap down, but it still slips after the load from a crash with the spreader bar working its way up into my rib cage ...Thus can the new straps be retrofitted?
