In mid-2018 a group of modern-day wind nomads and Coral Sea Foundation supporters camped on Lizard Island for a week and explored the lagoon under kite power.
At 14 degrees south, the winter trade winds blow non-stop at 20-30knots, and the combination of perfect conditions and stunning scenery create one of the most incredible kitesurfing destinations on the Great Barrier Reef!
Planning is well underway for the 2019 Expeditions, which will have a vessel option that will allow us to venture further afield around the Lizard Island Group to some other mind-blowing kite spots!
