Switching-up a new set of lines won't be too easy.

Can you imagine threading the strings through all those widgets and stuff.

I like being able to yank the depower on when dropping a face, not sure if multiple mouse clicks will work for that??

Big wind hits....I can quickly pull the trim line and in less than a second achieve full "de-power". North bar, 1 click, 2 clicks, 3 clicks, 4 clicks....10 clicks how many seconds will that take?

I will reserve judgment until I use it. Might be this weekend. But on the surface it does seem all a little silly to me...we will see.

Clean looking though I must admit, if that is ya thing ...lol.

Ive had a few goes on a few different proto types, the lines are seperate to the bar clicker/depower system sorta like the current setup with lines

I thought there was a button to full depower?

First gusty day it'd give me the sh!ts.

Always thought a "clutch" to set the power i want to ride with would be good though.

I have been using a prototype of this bar for most of last summer, and was riding the production bar yesterday in a gusty southerly in Safety Bay, on a 2017 9m Dice. I'll try to answer some questions that I've seen popping up.

Waveslave - with regards to threading the lines, I asked the original designer (who doesn't work at North) a few days ago. He said it takes 5 minutes, and you only need an FCS key. I'll have a go today (without instructions) and let you know if it's any different.

Jackforbes & Shi Thouse - as far as how quickly you can depower, I totally agree with your idea that it would be slow to fully depower. All things being even, a cleat system is going to be a bit quicker. And the Click Bar is probably quicker than a toggle system (I'm thinking Airush / Cab style systems here). Realistically, not much in it at the end of the day.

NickT - It was gusty yesterday and I didn't have any issues. I personally prefer cleat depower systems over toggles, it's simple and it works. I ride that system on C-Kites, wave kites and while foiling, all out of personal choice. To be honest with you, it is just as easy as the cleat system, if not easier, to adjust your trim on the go. There's nothing to get tangled and no chance of grabbing the wrong toggle. All things being equal, yes you can full power or fully depower in one motion with a cleat system and that will always be quicker than anything else to date.

I understand that it won't be for everyone, and it ain't cheap. But all the feedback we've had is that it works a treat and is very easy to use. We've had people try it who's initial response was "nah I like my bar just fine", and then (regardless of if they would buy one or not) agreed it's pretty good after they tried it. Any questions or close up shot requests, let me know and I'll post them as quickly as I can. And, a little plug, yes we have demo's and everyone is more than welcome to try it.

Big fella you shouldn't be totally depowering in a big gust. Gotta keep some back line tension and edge kite low in the water. A fully depowered kite is a fckn dangerous kite...

My understanding was this bar was also adaptive to different types of kites? and could allow for a more varied one bar many kites option??
