So i am a novice rider just trying to the hang of things
And i only have the single kite which is a 10 meter Ikon Peak that i got 2nd hand
Now i live in Denmark WA and the average wind speed is about 12 - 17 knots around about
i weigh about 105 kilos and im just curious whether or not people think i should get another 2nd hand one or
fork out and get a brand newy
and wether to get a C or Box kite as well
I'm looking at getting a 13 meter kite :)

Any Help or suggestion would be deeply appriciated

At your weight and said winds you'll be wasting money on a 13, 15 min or even better a 17, the modern big kites have come a long way,

Don’t get a C kite. They have less power and are not really beginner friendly.

Brand new kites this year cost a fortune so try and get a good 2nd hand deal from your local shop.

Go for the delta shape, plenty of low end power. I ride the airush lithiums which are great kites.

Lightwind specific kites are best, just because x brand make a 15 mtr it isn't as good back to back with a lightwind specific kite , you'll see plenty of brand models stop at 12 mtr and don't produce bigger than that, research the lightwind kite market, it soon gets narrowed down to half a dozen kites

xXPmanXx, The kite that you have is a delta shape, which is a variation of a bow kite. As said above, steer clear of C-shape kites unless you want to dedicate your kiting to wakestyle and you're willing to sacrifice wind range and upwind ability.

Delta kites are know for their great power delivery and upwind ability which makes them ideal for heavier guys.

At your weight, a 10m would only start to be useful at a bare minimum wind (on a normal size twin tip) of 20 knots and more enjoyable around 25 knots.

So as said above, you need to shop for a 17-18-19m light wind kite and a light wind twin tip in order to enjoy sub 18 knots conditions.

A few kites that I've tried and can recommend are: North Rebel (was available in last years model in 18m), North Dyno (18m), North Juice (18m), Core XR3-XR4 LW (17 or 19m). You'll be able to find last years model of these kite for around $1500 to $2000.

I highly recommend the Switch Helium 18m light wind kite. I'm in Albany for the next few days not far from Denmark and will probably be going out the next couple afternoons if you want to give it a go. It's about half the cost of other kites new at $1000.
