Hey Breezers

I need to find some compatible footpads/straps replacements for my ol' Liquid Force Proof 151 twintip.
It has LF Luxury pads but one strap is stuffed and mounting webbing ripped open

It's an old heavy clunker of a board but a unique shape/rails and I love it! It goes so well in the surf (save ya judgemental rolling eyes and comments please ;) ) and I need 6.5 inch mounting spacing - not 6" spacing as became the standard about 10 yrs ago.

Have had Duotone Vario pads suggested but have read many threads about pizz poor construction and design with them snapping on side rubber webbing after little use. No thanks. I ride hard on my gear and need some 165cm spaced pads/straps that will go the distance.

On a reeeaalllyy long shot if anyone has a LEFT strap from a pair of LF Luxury set please let me know

I'll check the shed for you this weekend as may still have one in my old leftovers bin. Blew out the right one out in a crash a few years back that snapped the LF Recoil board in half, but might have kept the left. They were probably the most comfy sets of straps I've ever used.

Yep - comfy as.
Must have been a hell of a stack mate!
I have ripped apart 2 left straps over the years as it takes so much of the load boosting (as a natural footer in Perth)

Kiting more than ever tho, long downwinders, so that's a goody

Hmmmmm, I could be wrong but I think he's reffering to the Spanish Euro with the 8 out of 10 body (Can't go 10 as it leaves no room to increase) that was kiting there around that time.

I remember her. Wasn't that many kiting Pinnas back then. Saw her clean a few punters up at Pinnas. Her boyfriend could kite considering the level of gear back in the day. Saw some awesome pics of him at big main break taken from the water . He must have been one of the first kiters to ride it. Imagine rocking up at overhead main break and being the only one in sight with a kite.

Yep - back in 2004/05 Pinnas was great to learn in but used to get a bit hectic with questionable right of way and courtesy issues.
So after my 1st season I started kiting City Beach/Floreat. Much trickier but no crowds.

Speaking of cute teuros did you guys ever see the chap who used to kite Pinnas with his uber hawt girlfriend topless on the beach?
She would help him launch/land and jump up and run around with her arms in the air frantically trying to catch his kite.
One arvo he was demoing 2 kites back to back and swapping kites every 10mins or so.
Must have seen that eye popping show about 6 times or more. LOL.

Later, with encouragement from GreenPat, I ended up starting to do the downwind runs from City Beach to Brighton around 2006.
Makes me laugh to think how there used to be only about a dozen or so kiters doing that run each arvo (compared to about +100 these days??).

Are they the old 6.5" spacing?
(They look almost identical to the LF with 'air cushion' inserts )
