Hi everyone, my wife and I are heading to Namibia this year in October and are looking for some sweet mid-size wave spots?
I already had a look at the internet but the information about Nambia with this regard is very limited: mainly Walvis Bay as a flat water paradise.
I heard of a spot called donkey bay, but can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!
Cheers

Just google waves donkey bay/ skeleton bay. Probably the best wave in the world. I dont know about wind but if I was traveling Namibia that would be my one and only focus.

That would have to rival the Peru wave..

Do you mean kiting or general? Are you driving? There's a lot to see in Namibia, I've been twice and not had a 4wd, so I'm planning to go again one day.. one of my favourite places in the world..

I proposed to my wife on top of a small rocky mountain behind a guest house in a town called Solitaire in the desert of Namibia.
Gorgeous place they had 2 camp sites, each with stone bathroom/kitchen and a flat area to pitch your tent beside, with massive private desert views. We were woken first morning with meerkats exploring our tent, they were pets of the place, ended up sleeping on us by the pool like cats.

This was the spot, perfect to take a few drinks or whatever, sundowners. You can see the place in the middle ground of the pic.

That sounds and looks awesome.
Looking primarily for kitesurf recommendations, but happy for every hint or must-see in general.
We are going to rent a 4wd in windhoek with a tent on the roof. In total we have three weeks to explore the surf and the country. yehaa

Lol yeah she's a bit screwy.

As for Namibia you can't go wrong. All the big things are worth it, sossusvlie, etosha, fish river canyon etc.

totally worth heading to Luderitz, spot of choice for speed sailors ! I had a blast there ~ 8 years ago :-)
See: luderitz-speed.com
Diamond mines too. Also, be sure to go to Fish River Canyon. Epic!
