I think it's more of a dead tree that your tapping whilst doing a transition as opposed to a slider, but hey what's in a name.

i dont think so
its not like im grinding much...probably about 1m only.

(this is in skateboarding terms!!!)
first pic is a "crooked" grind,
second and third are part of a sequence shot...its called a "lipslide".

charl..
the pictures must have made the stump look alot more in the way...its lower than it may look and also its more off to one side (to the right in the first pic or closest side to the photographer in the second and third pics)
its not too dangerous if you have quick reactions and decent kite control...because of the wind direction opposed to "the tree" you can just kiteloop to the right and you'll go into a bodydrag in the water below, (if you feel that your gonna fall.)

p.s; dont comment if you arent going to say anything nice. (in general...not trageting anyone.)
cheers.

don't post photos and ask what people think if you only want "nice" comments.

you are nowhere near a double S bend, and i think fozzy is right about the slider tap. you can't slide with fcs sized fins on your board anyway

Don't feel bad, even Hadlow gets torn a new one by the pros on seabreeze.

You're far beyond my ability level, good work and keep pushing the limits.

It could be good for a Slingshot ad.

What would the caption say ?

Some cool photos man, i particularly like the tree taps. Really cool looking tree, makes the photo 100 times better than if it didn't have those roots still attached.

p.s. you gotta get more inverted for a "double s bend" more like if you took the 3rd last shot from that sequence and turned it 90' clockwise. Keep at it.

Hey there

I took the shots of Noosa Kiter tree-kiting that day...I thought it would make a pretty cooool image I used an Olympus digi camera on sports sequence. Basically aimed at the tree to get focus prior to him getting in the frame...problem is obviously he wasn't in great focus. I've tried following the kiter with the camera before but found it is a bit of pot luck with the composition of the picture...Any suggestions on how to get the shot / in focus with a camera like this one, without zooming right out and cropping later??

Nah sorry mate, have no idea how you would get it in good focus with a camera like that (are we talking point and shoot?).

Yeah, pretty much! I think there are manual settings on the camera but that would require sum investigation...which I'd do if I wasn't out kiting instead!! hehe
