Just wandering who are the judges and what is the judging criteria for the NKL waves

On a piece of paper I found the Leagues secret path to success last event -

1. Kiteboarding
2. Ben Wilson
3. ??????????
4. PROFIT!!!

I am one of the judges. I don't score tricks unless you are riding a wave!

Kirstie Alley and
Tom cruse.

A good mate John Kouhry (Mick Gattos rh man) once said to me The wheels on the bus go round and round. i though at the time he was going to throw me under a bus!

Maybe brazilnut's post has just been lost in translation?

The comp is on at secret harbour (or "secrets") isn't it? Therefore one might presume the criteria could be specialised to secrets particular cross-on, sometimes more on than cross conditions.. Hence "secret judging"?

Maybe you should just get good.

so I dont know where you get the idea NKL is corrupted BS. we're trying pretty hard not to be that way. For those that dont know I'm the head judge for waves. Unfortunately I cant attend WA VIC and NSW because fortunately im having my first child so life gets in the way of kitesurfing again. anyway...

Each wave is scored by three judges who are not supposed to be discussing performance issues. then each judges wave score is averaged to give that wave ride an single averaged wave score. A riders top waves are added at the end of the heat to give a heat score. Iin previous events their top 3 waves were counted but the contest director will decide on the day depending on conditions.

Essentially the same as PKRA or whats left of it.

So hopefully i cleared some stuff up - I think this post is more about banter than actually finding stuff out. next time google NKL judging or something.
