I’m currently flying a 12m SBIII and want to get a smaller kite – 8 or 9m… I have a choice out of a LF HAVOC or HI FI COMP 09, I know that havocs are similar to SBIII which I like a lot, but am thinking of the HI FI cause of its great reviews –

Do you think that having a mixed style quiver of kites will make it difficult to change between sizes?

How much does your riding style need to change between kites styles?

I want to ride wake style and am using a LF concept 139 with synergy boots

I ride a mix of bigger C kites (11m) and smaller hybrids (7m). The C-kite is for flat water on a smaller board. The hybrid is when it gets really windy or if I'm riding strapless. Works well.

I'll be riding both in same conditions, and same style just different wind, does it take you long to get used to the different kites? Is there much difference in flying style?

No, doesn't take long. Mind you I started with Cs and then moved to Hybrids. I imagine it might be a little harder to go the other way, but not much.

If you're always riding flat water with boots then I'd think C kites would be your cup of tea.
