Hi guys , unfortunately I've had to make the call to cancell the event planned for 22/23/24 of November, this is due to lack of financial support which in turn makes it impossible to run the event, I've held off until now hoping some late applications may of come good but as of today we've received nothing and some we have received has been down on last year's pledges, I put a lot of time and money into this but carnt afford to take a big financial loss , Thanks for your understanding , Regards Mick, any gripes flick me a pm

that's a real shame Mick, but completely understand and support the decision. Nobody would want to see the event run if it mean financial losses.

Will be up that way on that weekend anyway.

Id like to thank Infigen Energy (operator of Geraldton windmill farm) for offering sponsorship and merchandise for the 3rd year in a row, but unfortunately this generous support was not sufficient on its own for Mick to proceed.

Hands up to you mick...you really did give it your all and I think Australian kite surfing community is at a loss for not supporting you more.

You held your end up.
Be proud of what you achieved.

Sorry to hear Mick, it's a real shame - I went to both, was really looking forward to this years, it felt like it was really starting to gather momentum as an event. Thanks for yours, and the rest of the team's, hard work over the past 2 years.

Credit to Mick for attempting. People like you and Smythy in NSW make this sport a community. They put far more into the sport than any brand I know in AU.

Although I haven't attended the WA one. Cheers guys!

That's really sad news Mick, sorry to hear it.

Now apologies for the thread hijack, but LOC is looking a bit shaky too and that would be a massive loss, exacerbated by this one? WTF is happening
Does anyone know about LOC?

Seems the wind didn't get the memo. Looking like a smoking weekend coming up. Yew!
