This must infuriate the sailboarders.

regular moth with no foil still gets beaten by a raceboard . foil moth gets beaten by foil board .

heaps good comparison.
while we are at it, what was the cost comparison for each class?

I had a regular moth. well it was regular in the 1990's. quick for those times though

They are super quick absolutely, but that would the same him comparing rowing his moth against you using tt and normal kite:)

The comparison is for the fastest open classes around a windward leeward course, the best way to determine bragging rights in sailing in normal open water conditions. Down at sandy point, you on your TT might be able to able to beat them all in outright top speed :)

Right now other than the multi-million $ AC boats, kites have claimed top spot in the sailing world with this video, that's a good things!

Not deemed to be good enough for the olympics?

Cost wise Kiteboarding is way cheaper in sailing classes and way cheaper to run a racing comp.

I just think the organising bodies cant control it as a one class rule. Boards and kites are not popped out of the same mould.

The funny thing is the guys that do really well in the olympic sailing classes have heaps of money and train ALL OF THE TIME.

Our Ausssie sailors do so well because we do everything from fine tuning gear to fund raising.

Sorry Rant Over.

Foiling Moths are really cool and when they come off the foil they really crash HARD.
