Hi guys

I want to make some long lines for getting out in lighter wind. I've gathered 100/200kg dyneema will do it but I'm not sure exactly what type and where to get it from. Anyone know or done this before?

I suggest you start progressively simply by adding 3m extension to your usual bar setup.

Longer lines is all about experimentation and trying out various lengths to see what works best for you given the conditions and depending on what you're trying to achieve

Personally I like to use 35m thin race lines for sub 12 knots on the hydrofoil. 27 to 30m lines work great for me in 12 to 15 knots on the surfboard. More than 15 knots I don't really see the point in having longer lines.

Longer than 35m you start to have a lot of delay and drag which makes your kite fly further back in the window and will greatly compromise your upwind performance

Have a look at Airborne Kitesurfing they have some brand new long thin lines sets from Airush left over from many years ago. If you're lucky you will find a full set for really cheap. Otherwise Ozone sells race lines as well but they aren't cheap, a 32m set (the longest they make) will cost you $270
