What the best light weight travel bag people have used, I'm finding that most are 4 - 5kgs and this taking up valuable weight allowance which should be used on more kiting gear.

Prolimit do light weight stuff. Like this one.

powerkiteshop.com/prolimit-golf-ultralight-bag.htm

Start there and work back up the weight as you add features. I have an older prolimit one that has rucksack straps instead of wheels. You wouldn't want to walk to far with it but a couple of hundred metres from the carpark to find a trolley is fine.

Mostly** though I tell the other half to pack light as she's going to be in bikinis all the time and stuff a couple of heavy things in her luggage so I can keep using the wheeled bags.

** This doesn't work on trips off with the boys - which is a lot of them as the other half has wised up to how fun it is trying to sunbathe on a beach with 25knot winds

That looks pretty light, has no wheels though.

Most with wheels seem to be pretty heavy unfortunately

Yes wheels always seem to add about 1kg to a bag. The light bags are usually the Prolimit or ION ones. Mystic has one exception being the Elevate

+1 for the Mystic Elevate Bag

Light and strong, you can remove the wheels and save 1.2Kg if needed.

No time for a misses with all the kiting that need to be done, gotta get your priorities right in life.

Kiting 1st

Has anyone tried Epic kites Transporter bag, it is two bags that join together so you can check in your two bags and then carry them as one.
It seems pretty nifty though it is on the heavy side 8kgs combined weight.

I just got the ION golf 2/4, very light, very well made, will fit at least 4 kites and 2-3 boards, long enough that my 5'3 Firewire Tomo will fit in.

Ion 2/4 is great, done lots of trip without issue - but easy to overload. Easily fits 45 kg of gear, which you can't fly with.

If I'm on a 23kg limit, will use a Dakine bag without wheels, which fits twintip tip & 2 kites and gear, Every trip I swear I'm never going to use a bag without wheels again. Honestly it is a pain.

Couldn't see the dakine bag for sale, so maybe its not available anymore.

I went with a mystic elevate in the end.

Thanks for all the input.
