Agreed with Mrexport, It's easy to blame the gear when in fact it's simply just bad luck. Here is an accident involving the Core system:
A bit off topic but I recently heard from the BKSA that Core will eventually change their system to a standard push away to match industry standards. It makes sense as it's the only brand that does it differently. Similar changes happened to brands reluctant to change their safety system from dual to single front line flagging system.
Quick releases are designed to be released quickly and easily. Accidents happen and quick releases get accidentally released many times every season with our students regardless of the brand being used!
We should be far more worried about a chicken loop that is too hard / difficult / slow to release instead of one that releases too easily.
When you are at the level of Ruben and kite 200+ days a year you are far more likely to get injured, in fact you have accept that it will probably happen at some point.
