Thought I'd share a quick hack for making life easier.
Early days but, For those lucky enough to rig up close to your vehicle, I used my tyre inflator in reverse hooked up to my trusty pink North hose.
Topped up the spare tyre to an extra 10psi at the servo,hooked up the inflator, gave it a test and seems to work very well.
The air passes through a shredder valve on the tyre which keeps the flow rate just right.
I was expecting to just pre inflate it but it seems to fill to 6psi very easy (and carefully).
I'm on a dyno these days and it made it incredibly easy to fill a 17M, non one pump.
Specially when the temperatures 38 degrees up here.
Anyway thought this might be helpfull to someone.

Interesting. However. I can't help but thinking that the time you spend at the servo topping up your tyre could be spent pumping up ya kite.

How long does it take and how low does the pressure in the spare tyre go?

Plummett fair point, but the servo the easy bit. You kiwis pump your kite to warm up the muscles before a sesh!!
Us Norwesters spend the time hiding under the shade waiting for 20 knots!
Smithy just chexked the spare and theres 20psi left after 50. But a 4by tyres good for 80 according to info.

I would like to see an inflation race between this and @flyingcab ’s car exhaust technique. lol

Good to see someone has actually listen to my advice rather than bagging my creations out.

Btw I have also been looking into another technique in which you can use the air compressor unit from your car air conditioner to inflate your kites.
I have seen people do this with 4x4s for their tyres but I'm not 100% set on getting it sorted myself.
Yes I know you can buy 12 volt compressors for in car use, this is different.

Why bother going to the servo at all.....???...... why not just use somebody elses car???

Enough about me though.

Done this before in off road air supply backup. once u could by an adaptor for between spare
tyre and flat to pump up,then the supplier said u could safely put 70psi in your spare.
Tried lots of ideas,12v air inflator,cordless leaf blower,petrol leaf blower,air compressor at home and exhaust jack hose. Haven't tried on car converted air conditioning compressor,to much hassle.
I still go for the good old hand pump though but fun to experiment.
