As much as I'd love to see my local flooded with kiters a week early.....

I have seen the news article here (off to the right hand side of the forums page) talking about second week in January and being 10th Jan or something.

According to an LOC committee member it has been put back a week - so makes it 16th to 19th Jan 2015.

(a couple of years ago they put it back a week so it is not straight after new years (it was always one week after NYE) and now it will usually be a good 10 days after. Now they have put it back another week sp it will be up to 3 weeks after NYE, giving more time to organise contractors etc. Apparently trying to get scaffolding and dunnies etc was a pain as everyone takes a month off.)


Anyway take it as ONLY anecdotal so far.... cos whilst I had a good source it is not official.

Just though I'd mention it as the article here appears to be wrong and I'd be pissed if I booked annual leave, flights, etc etc......

Thanks Mark, I think I better go have a chat with the boss and see what I can do to tweak my holiday dates.

They need to have the website updated and firm dates on it by August I reckon. Never is...

So now the third weekend in Jan is the least windy of the season
