Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone has kited in the Caribbean, particularly in tobago before. Am thinking of heading over there for a uni elective between december and february.

The place looks amazing see http://www.kitebeaches.com/kitesurf/loc/tobago___pigeon_point.html and www.windresorts.com/Tobago.html

Have done some reading and some places say 10-12kns while others say 15-25kn tradewinds for this time of the year. Not sure what to believe.

Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks!

Tobago Dec- Feb should be good as it will be in the start of dry season.
I used to live in trinidad for a while and make weekend trips over there to wind surf.
You can get some good surf out on the reef as well and mount irvine can be world class with a good northerly swell.
Pigeon point can be a bit sketchy to kite though as the predominant wind is Easterly which blows across the island (it is actually side shore at pigeon point) so can be very gusty.
Remember to pack the surf board, mask and snorkel for the light wind days and you will be set.
