There have been a fair few of us but I'd say the footage you have seen is keahi at the alley. That day was unrideable for any of us normals. Such a talented dude.

Yeah that was the one made the wave but the kite looks in trouble at the end

Curious to know what happened after the clip finished with the kite...

looks like he was starting drive board and body hard right under the wash/lip, bogging his speed while flying kite up (hard yank on left side of bar) to get it going vert - this would then of pulled him up out of water/wash behind wave.

So yeah, end of ride, but must have been pretty happy with that one already i dare say!!! stoked!

There is a video on instagram of Keahi towing (kite powered) Hippo into a Currumbin set wave, can't find it however.
