Hey,
not sure who you are, elmo? If you are the young fellow, then I appologise and I do not come back, but the other guy I would still ignore! The way how this guy went off on me was just sick and I do not have any sympathie. That is just wrong! No one wants to take him his fun but before having a normal conversation straight away crying and yelling like a litte 5 year old as you have taken his personal toy is just sick! If you want your freedom of us kiters then you shouldn't try to get rid of us with violent screaming!!!
Enjoy your surfing,
Cheers
Well I think we have a winner here.
If you were they guy on the green and white kite then I was the one who woke you up whilst you were sailing across everyone's path.
Now just to enlighten you as you obviously had now idea what was going on around you I'll let you know what led me to in technical terms
"abuse the sh1t out of you" to avoid a collision.
We had been sailing down at Novara since 10am in the morning and doing speed runs parallel with the shore since about 3pm.
You and your mate rocked up about 2 hours later and totally oblivious to the dozen guys belting along at speed up to 39knots (72kmh) decided to sail along at 45º to everyone else out there happily in a world of your own totaly unaware of the people flying past you.
After having a bite to eat I went back out to put down a few more runs on my big board. As I was not planning on going down the actual speed run on the larger board I went out a bit wider than what I'd been doing earlier.
Now you may or may not have been aware it was a touch breezy on Wednesday 23-30knots hence we were traveling quickly, when we travel quickly we don't have a huge amount of choice about where we can point our gear.
Now as I'm going down my run I see this nice new Green and white kite coming out with the guy not paying any attention to anyone or anything, he does a huge jump getting his board all of 3 feet from the water and carries on going on his 45º from the shore, I'm trying to go further up wind to evade him but he's in a world of his own not knowing WTF is going on around him. I get within 100m of him and he decides to point further into the wind, I've got NO WHERE to go in less than 4 seconds I'm going to be running into him as we are on a collision course.
I tried washing of as much speed as I could (slowed down to 30knots) and then this seems to be where I have upset you by Bellowing the following words as loud as I can to get your attention
"HEY D1CKHEAD, THIS IS A SPEEDRUN OPEN YOUR F'KEN EYES" seemed to have the desired effect as the look of shock and surprise on your face when I breezed past you still shouting with about 10-15 foot of room actually made you think about what the F**k you were doing.
Now I am truly sorry for disturbing your peaceful little world, and I can quite honestly say that most of the time the rest of Australia is a lot more polite and diplomatic however as time was of the essence and I didn't think you would really appreciate 90+kg of muppet and windsurfing kit inserted up your freckle.
Here is a posting of my track (the joys of gps) for that run and I've put in there the line which you were meandering on
Mine is the thin yellow line yours is the green one (apologies my paintbrush drawing skills are not very good)
I sincerely apologize if I have upset your sensibilities, no hang on I don't apologize.
You were sailing like a ignorant git with no idea or concern for whoever or whatever was going on around you.

Next time open your eyes and use some (not so) common sense
Red thumb away crew
