We where based in Kuta, and also kited a couple of bays west in Pantai Aan. Best wind was in Kali antan 1.5 hrs west, We never kited Ekkas. Wind was soft most days, was difficult to get out to the reef on most days even with a 14 (but I do weigh 90kg, and it is not a grunty 14).

Pantai Kaliantan is to the east near Ekas www.google.com/maps/@-8.9162319,116.4897971,2686m/data=!3m1!1e3 . Pantai Tanjung Aan www.google.com/maps/@-8.9143026,116.3303678,2013m/data=!3m1!1e3 only has average wind on the beach. If you some how make it out the entrance to do a downwinder the waves behind the rock to the right/east are quite good www.google.com/maps/@-8.9174253,116.3129587,1657m/data=!3m1!1e3, same with the waves all the way back to kuta. Better to launch from www.google.com/maps/@-8.9216413,116.3367962,1696m/data=!3m1!1e3 for that. Wind in kuta area is only strong once you get onto the out side reef and further out, launch from next to Novatel www.google.com/maps/@-8.9037712,116.2952474,305m/data=!3m1!1e3. There is waves in the west if you want www.google.com/maps/@-8.8765281,116.1288375,5104m/data=!3m1!1e3.

I was expecting much more , good waves barrels and cross off conditions

The swell has been really crap. No storms off WA. How cross off do you want? The lower west half of Bali is Canggu www.google.com/maps/@-8.6558532,115.1247773,978m/data=!3m1!1e3 etc is usually slightly crossoff 5-10degrees . Places like Roti www.google.com/maps/@-10.9367067,122.832705,4261m/data=!3m1!1e3 have 10 to 40 degrees off. Lakey peak www.google.com/maps/@-8.8098115,118.3660191,6353m/data=!3m1!1e3 . Genteng www.google.com/maps/@-7.3813393,106.3868642,5644m/data=!3m1!1e3 .

The places I kited in Lombok dont get barrels till waves are over 3x head. Kuta was mostly closeouts....

Most kite videos youll find from Indo with Barrels are lakey peak.

Hmm... So most groups will have guys who are just getting into wave riding on them. Not exactly going to take that crew to ride Lakey where they're going to be getting pitched onto dry reef, tearing kites and skin and getting in the way of locals/pros who are going to get agro at them. Sorry if our group trip wasn't gnarly enough for you Brazil haha. Matthew was just posting a video and sharing his stoke. Who cares if he's not getting barrelled. Stoked that he had a good time!

Like he sad not enough wind to get out in the big waves ...if you don't want get good waves and cross off wind why do you go all the way to indonesia is better just stay in Sydney i know places better than this just 5 minutes away ...just my opinion definitely not good wrong place and wrong time stember is way more wind
