Hi all. I'm moving to Sydney from Copenhagen in a few months for work, and want to know what size kites everyone there uses (most frequently). Can I get by most the time on my 11m? Do I need a light wind kite or is it good most days?
My gear:
I currently ride the Waroo Pro 7m and 11m with a 134 board (weigh 80 kg). I also have a 17m Waroo that I use mostly for snowkiting or when I am really desperate on water. Really my question is, do I need to lug the 17m with me or not?
Thanks in advance.
Chris
-also, I will work in Baulkham Hills but don't know yet where I will live. Should I aim for North or South Sydney? (like flatwater most)

I'd say you'll use your 11m most of the time during our summer season when the prevailing wind is NE 18-22 knots. You can leave behind the 17m if you're happy to skip the light wind days.
You'll probably get a mixture of responses regarding whether to live/kite North or South. Botany bay is the most common kiting spot on the South side. Unfortunately it's usually messy chop rather than flat water. However there are a few other flat water spots nearby:
Towra - shallow/flat
Kurnell - flat
Boat Harbour - flattish
