I recently brought a 2011, Park, 10m. I used it for the first time yesterday and
I noticed the wing tips on the trailing edge were bending in slightly when I turned the kite.

The kite was properly inflated and I tried it on medium and low power.
one of the guys on the beach suggested that some kites can do this when they are worn out. As far as I can tell it's in pretty good condition, but i'm still a beginner so I don't know much about kites yet. Hopefully I didn't buy a worn out kite..

It was a pretty gusty day. About 20-27 knots. Could that have something to do with it? I weigh about 78 kg. Are there any other reasons why this could be happening?
Any solutions?

Thanks!

Yeah its just the wind playin nasty with your kite, just like a backstall in not enough n smellyfish when its too much... The pressure variation either side of a foil etc
Wait for a steady wind, youll be havin a great time and remember a wind lesson - Youve just learnt

Front lines are stretched and this is making your rear lines too short and the kite is "flaring" or oversheeting.
Remedy is adjust lines to be all even when the bar is approx 3-4cm from the chicken loop, with all 4 lines connected to a common point and the trimmer is all the way out (powered).

On the shoulder bridal setting what knot is it attached to ,even though the knots are very close together it makes a huge diff to the way the kite flies always found the lower setting to be the best option.

Thanks for the replies.
I tried the kite on the medium and weak bridle setting. The weak setting was slightly better, but not much. I didn't use any de-power.

@Kitepower. Sounds simple. but I would probably stuff it up..
I go to Geelong every week so I might bring it in to the shop.

Cheers!

Thanks for the contribution form you friends.
Its true that wings and edges of kites matter but it all depends on the wind.If the wind is perfect for the kite flying then the average kite will you definitely perfect fun.

Hopefully it is, if you can get to geelong get Goshen or Johhny to check your line lengths. Watch them so you learn how to do it.
