april is a frustrating month for wind in NSW where I live and i frequently waste hours at work checking where in australia is windy and it seems april is a dud month everywhere except for maybe southern tasmania so my recommendation would be cancel that leave and go to north qld sometime in the middle of winter

You can try Shark Bay, been there a couple of times in April. A bit hit and miss but chances are good to get a couple of days of wind per week and you can kite in any wind direction there.

We get some mega W blasts down here (roaring 40's) in between still autumn days. Only need a set of gonads.
