Hi all,
my kite had a leak with one of the strut bladders going flat. Pulled it out and saw that the glue holding the valve on the bladder degraded. Used the Sekisiu 5760 tape which came in the repair kit with the kite to tape it down - worked a treat.
noticed another couple of the bladders are having the same issue, so wanting to use more of the same tape - or an alternative.
can anyone recommend a similar tape which is easy to purchase or, or where I can get more of thr Sekisiu tape?

Your repair may work for now but unlikely to last. If you don't want to stress about your kite deflating on you mid-session in the middle of the ocean, order yourself a brand new bladder set with valve pre-installed from Dr. Tuba. This will give you peace of mind and the bladders/valves will outlast the life of your kite.

I use Stormsure glue. Have been fixing bladders and re-gluing valves for years with it and never had a problem. This is a very flexible rubbery glue that doesn't react with the bladder.
You can buy one 15g unit or 3 x 5g for the same price (see link below). I usually go for the second option since 1 x 5g is enough to re-glue 10 valves or so.
Once opened, keep the glue in the freezer (not fridge like super glue). This will make the glue last for a long time. It doesn't really freeze the glue but bring it to room temperature for a couple of minutes before using it.

We are temporarily out of Tear Aid, which we often place on top of a re-glued valve, then they never come off again. Should have stock within the next week or so.

As far as I can determine, Tear Aid Type A is the best tape for bladder repairs. however it doesn't like to stick to vinyl plastics which I think is what kite valves are. Type B is for vinyl, and Type A will stick well onto Type B, if you want to go that way.
Stormsure Tuff tape sticks well to both types of plastics, (though not quite as strongly as Tear Aid) and works well to reinforce a glued repair.
