I'm at Gladstone and if seen there is going to be some nice winds this weekend!
Anyone heading to tannum sands? Or is going to be there? Where is the best spot to set up

Yeh mate if the winds up I'll be there...We usually setup on the RHS of the surf lifesaving club house and launch between the clubhouse and the creek. Might see you there...

I've been in Tannum for a week. Sadly, very little wind. Hope you're right about the wind. There's only so much staring at the horizon you can do.

Jaja yeah i know, it's been the same here. But a few wind prediction pages say theres going to be wind..Hope they are right.
If any one knows a way to get to tannum on the weekend let me know

Or rent a car and haul arse up to yeppoon. Yeppon is a real nice spot.

I'll PM you my mobile and will make contact Friday...happy to give you a lift down there. There's not much other transport except a taxi and at a guess I reckon you're looking at 60+ one way.

na dont haul your ass up to yeppoon. its going to be real south so we wont get whats predicted, probabys 10 knots under! unless you have a 4x4 and go north, yeppoon will be slack!

tannum is a cute little spot with really friendly locals, you will have fun, iv had a couple of cracker sessions in that creek mouth.

if you want to have a look too see what its like before you head to tannum jump on Gladstone Port Corporation [GPC] website and look up beach webcams and click on tannum sands ..
There is ment to be wind on sat but its been pretty dismal for the last month or so , Dropping tide is the best

Was down there 15 minutes ago...wind was a bit cross/off. Should be a bit better later on. The BAM markets are on this arvo, so it might make it a little hard to get a park in the afternoon..
