Yup, it's reversed. Sounds like this design is called a "canard" (duck, long neck). Two fins with lift, not front lift, rear drag. Apparently it's common with gliders and there's been some planes too. Sounds like there's been experiments with them in hydrofoils for some time, discussed in this thread
kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2391856&p=956997I am intrigued. Possibly a better surfboard feel, with more weight on back foot, like carving a surfboard hard. And maybe less likely to pop foil out of the waves, or when you do, better able to ride it out.
The CrazyFoil discussed at start of the KF thread is a Canadian company, also doing a canard design, but seems to be aimed at wakeboarders not kiters. The reviews posted for that one are not great, but who knows.
