I have just done my bit to stimulate the kiting economy - traded my kites and have two nice new crispy ones! Thought I would get in and spend it now on the credit card before the missus spent it on something stupid like food, kids education, tampax etc

All you kiteshop owners out there are missing out on a great marketing opportunity. I'm thinking of a pitch along the lines of

"bring in any 08 model kite and your legal dependant under the age of 16, and we'll upgrade your kite to an 09 model!"

another thought, if you are goin o/s soon, buy the kites with the "kiddies grant" take the receipt in to the customs office at the airport and get your 10% GST back too!!
