Im already regretting that one day last month when it was 25kts SW (for the umpteenth time) and I decided I had really had enough and didnt go out.
These seabreezeless SE'lys are bringing on reminders of winter and end of season terror tremors.
Do we really have to go through a whole year of 2nd rate wind before we get back to serious seabreezes
And surely this is just a temporary mid-season glitch. We have gotta have at least month or more of summer breezes yet to come.
Dont we please.

The season never stops.
Roll on winter is what i say.
Those big ass fronts with 40kn squalls and 5m swells are pure joy.
Nothing like a big ass front to make you feel alive.

Yep, agree with rellie,

Bring on the 5m swells, the Nor' westerly frontal winds and those elusive right hand smacks

Also bring on the calm before the storms so I can chase some decent fish around.

Good winds while they last,

Sorry guys that's my fault cos I'm on my way and hanging for a session - so of course there'll be nothing.

Like when I went to NZ snowboarding and it was the 1 year in 20 when Oz had better snow than NZ.

How good was today? Seriously, I wasn't there to find out myself, laid up in bed with the gastro. I've lost 7kg in 3 days, and missed all the good wind since Kitestock.

I'm feeling your guys pain a bit over here in Melbourne. We have lost our regular South to South Westers and seem to be getting Easterlies all the time. OK if you live near Altona but not much good for pretty much everywhere else. But its only been a week so who knows.

Hey Pat sorry to read you didn't get out today....it would have been great. I was doing some hard yakka. Hope you get well soon...what did you eat?

As for you fellows sad about changing winds...come on, it is always windy here...we are just getting in to some lovely double headers.....E in am, lunch (sleep or golf), followed by SW in the sunset....this place rocks day in day out

Too true the season never ends, just takes on a different perspective. I like kiting in the winter just as much as the summer. The conditions are different, you have to watch the clouds closely and the air density is thicker. The swells come in different. And you learn so much more about kiting. I`d get boerd if the conditions were the same day in and day out. May not get as much wind as in summer but there`s enough to keep you ticking over.
But be carefull, things can change in a matter of minutes.

Not to mention the tourists, noobs and show ponies are all tucked up in the warm, leaving the beaches and waves for the core.

Love winter

I miss the winter SW at Dolls Point in the freezing cold, miserable grey skys, 1 other kiter and the epic boosting madness .

Pity I've been so busy over summer .

What winter? Winds back, so's the smile

This winter bizzo intrigues me. What does a freshy do? just hang on for deasr life and close his eyes, or we meant to be tucked up in the warm with the tourists?

I got a 9m DNA, what do i need to be able to kite in the winter?

That`s it. All you need is your 9m, big brass balls and a kite buddy to keep an eye on each other.
