I get itchy with most of my wetsuits at my lower/mid back, basically where the harness rubs. Anyone out there that can recommend a great wetsuit? I heard patagonia may be worth the dosh.

It is so frustrating. I have a 3/2 ripcurl. I wouldn't buy again. The taped seams seem wasted on kitesurfing, they have frayed and are falling off. I also have a 2mm rashie but I think it's the stitches between my back and the harness casuing grief, I dunno.

Also reckon the chest entry is more trouble than it's worth and will go back to back zip. It's not like I'm duck diving often.

Post brands, suggestions, cheers.

Man up and go without a wettie, you'll soon find that the itch ain't that bad and and save yourself $300

I had the same problem with a rip curl Ebomb. I think the problem is caused by the harness (flexible) compressing the neoprene against the sides of the torso and the skin reacting. I now use a Flashbomb which has a fleece lining and a rarely get the irritation now unless I'm in the harness for a long time (i.e. more than a few hrs kiting). I found a using rigid harness also helps as it doesn't squeeze the torso in at the sides.

Save yourself $12.95 and just ask one of the guys to hock up a couple of big ol' throat oysters to spit down your wetsuit as you are putting it on.

Nobody will think you are a weirdo

id say its prickly heat, its a condition when you sweat and your pores are blocked thus not allowing you to sweat, basically you sweat under your skin which causes irritation, it used to drive me insane
