Anyone else having problems with their island electric pump?
mine is outside warranty and wondering where I can get it fixed in Brisbane/Gold Coast ??
Had spring problems in the past I managed to fix myself. Now it's just dead....

I think you have spoken with Tom from the shop this morning about this pump. I've had one for several years, but it did die once and I took it to a battery specialist, they tested the battery and found it was dead, put a new battery in it which was around $45 and its still going.
I've called a couple of auto Electric places and one gave me the number of Paul 0419665038, but I just called that number and he is away until the 27th but you can leave a message.
Otherwise try battery world, take the pump with you and see if they can get it to fire up?
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the despatch guy we have informed the owner about his although his advice was ok.

I had one that died during the warranty period (wasn't the battery) fortunately I bought it from a shop so could return it.

The replaced one has lasted years (as has the battery), they are lead-acid battery like a car so need to be kept fully charged up for longevity and not stored drained, ideally kept away sand and sun.

I have 2 of these and a lot of repair experience.
Excellent design but poor engineering.
Very delicate gadgets so do not let get hot as bits melt.
Keep very clean particularly at air inlet. Make sure the inlet filter is clean and always in place.
Pull apart frequently and clean plus very light lube . Frequency depends on environment of use.
Replacement batteries are $20 plus.

Not sure about the ISland models but I recently taken apart a Bravo GE 20.
Motor was working but it wouldn't inflate. Turned out the (plastic) cogs were completely shredded. Not sure what the engineers behind this design were thinking.... Obviously, no one has spare parts in Australia.

Not looking forward to pulling mine apart any time soon. But what is this inlet filter, I never got one with mine?
