Well this is going to get interesting.

I've noticed when kiting and the kite blocks out the sun, there are quite a number of tiny pin holes on the canopy. But when I inspect the kite close up, I cannot see anything obvious or any obvious pin holes.

But upon lifting the kite on the beach and looking at the canopy again, with the sun behind it, sure enough I see those little buggers! But they are the tiny holes made by the manufacturer when they've sewen the canopy panels together.

Should I be worried? Should NO sunlight penetrate the canopy what so ever? Could this be a start of the fabric "thinning" or stretching? Soon, the whole thing could go RRRRRIIIIPPPPP!!!!

...nah dude, don't worry about it, pretty normal actually. All kites get this and usually when they get slightly older. If you think about it logically, there is alot of force and eventually things stretch a bit (very small bit) and those tiny little holes from the sewing become ever so slightly bigger and light has the ability to spread out the light and look bigger than it actually is. Imagine this, your flying at 20,000 feet at night time and you see a lone light on the ground. It looks so obvious to you and yet if you see the same thing in the day, you probably won't see it. That small little element in the bulb can look so big from a distance and if you think about it, it's still a small thing dispite what you see.

Anyway, don't worry about it.

Farkem knew you guys would red thumb me and pork barrel this.

Amyway, 1st response is what i wanted to hear.

And as for buying cheapie kites. By the time I"ve spent as much as $2500 worth of kites, i would have kited for well over 10 years and enjoyed a variety of kites from all brands and makers, as opposed to buying one new kite to have to sell anyway in 3 years for less than 50% of what it's worth new. Never again... But then again... That Chrono is very, very tempting.
